Daniel Scherer é o novo superintendente de TI na Banco Topázio e Topázio Cartões.
Nos últimos sete meses, o executivo foi diretor de Informática da prefeitura de Canoas, cidade da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, com o segundo maior PIB do Rio Grande do Sul.
Durante sua gestão em Canoas, Scherer conduziu um projeto de uso de tablets na Guarda Municipal da cidade e da criação de uma empresa de tecnologia municipal, a Canoas TEC, com início de operação previsto para janeiro.
Antes de assumir a posição em Canoas, Scherer atuou por mais de cinco anos na GetNet, de onde saiu como diretor da Unidade de Sistemas da empresa de processamento de cartões.
Tanto a GetNet como o Banco Topázio pertencem ao grupo de companhias do discreto empresário gaúcho Ernesto Corrêa e Silva, que na área de tecnologia controla ainda a empresa de multiconvênios Good Card e a prestadora de serviços de TEF Auttar.

GetNet e Banco Topázio fazem parte de um projeto ambicioso de Corrêa e Silva: o lançamento, em 2012, de um terminal de autoatendimento.
A empresa se chama Saque e Pague será criada para comandar as vendas da novidade, liderada pelo Nori Lermen, executivo com 30 anos no mercado financeiro.
Lermen já foi presidente da prestadora de serviços de tecnologia ATP, diretor comercial da fabricante de ATMs gaúcha Perto e diretor no Banrisul.
